It is worth reading, but should not be your only resource! Rating - Great resource for a first time visit I read this before my first trip to Disneyland and I am very glad hat I did. I was very much under the impression that Disneyland was just like Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom. I was pleasantly surprised. This book gave me quite a few things to look for and more than a few tips to make the most of my 5 days at the resort. I had purchased the same guide for WDW several years back and am glad that I picked up this one too. Rating - Inaccurate, Incomplete Birnbaum provided incorrect prices, incorrect park hours, and incomplete information about attractions. The last time I was at Disneyland, characters wandered about with regularity. Now they are on schedules and you can expect to line up for 30 minutes to see them. Birnbaum didn't mention this. The layout is very appealing, easy-to-read, and lots of pictures. It really gives you all the information you need to be prepared in a quick reference way. This will be my first time to Disneyland.
