Rating - A very creative ending for the "Left Behind" series.
I could not put down the "Left Behind series" I read all twelve books in less than 6 weeks. When I began "Kingdom Come" at first I was a little disappointed. I was looking forward to a grand description of the returning of Christ and His saints. Although, that did not happen I kept reading. The story took on a different unexpected twist giving it a very interesting story line. The ending was great.... worth waiting for. I recommend reading the entire "Left Behind series" Kingdom Come brought the proper closure to the series and left me feeling content.
Rating - Disappointing
I waited to read this book over a year, but finally gave into curiousity. Should have saved my time and money.
This book was really disappointing. I am a hardcore fan of the LB series...I started reading the books in 2005 and was literally starting the next book in the series every other day...when the prequels came out I read them, too, and was a little saddened that they weren't as great as the other books, but they weren't "too" bad.
This book, however, was just so unrealistic that it made me wonder why it was written. A 3 year-period (roughly) takes 300 pages to complete, yet it was so obvious from the beginning that Qasim was a fake that I wonder why it took so long to make that point...hmmmm, can anybody say "stretch" the story line?
For the length of this book, the writers should have brought back some of the other characters from the earlier books. I understand that it would've been hard to bring in too many characters but to list them all on one page only, yet spend 300 pages stretching a plot, I'm sure the writers could have figured "some way" to include some of the earlier martyered characters.
I was also sickened that the system of sacrifices was reinstated...the death of Christ clearly satisfied the law yet the writers had the audacity to say the sacrifices would be reinstated?
I am by no means a prophecy scholar...I don't even come close...and I understand that this is just fiction, but we are cautioned in the book of Revelation about adding or taking away from Scripture...in my opinion, the writers sure took plenty of liberty with this last book without even bothering to think about that admonition in the book of Revelation. And one of them is supposed to be an expert in biblical prophecy?
Rating - Kingdom Come
I love this book.. I have the whole series of Left Behind Books now. It keeps you on the edge of your seat trying to guess whats going to happen next.
Rating - disappointed...
I eagerly awaited every book in the "Left Behind" series, and read every one on the edge of my seat. The final installation, "Kingdom Come", left me disappointed. The book was boring, and the end was hurried. I don't feel like it was even written by the same authors or part of the same story as the rest of the series. I expected it to be as thrilling and climactic as th others, but was let down.
