This catalog is the best one concerning the hobby of coin collecting. But the description of some coins which belong to countries not using the latin alphabet is not enough images are also needed. This countries are mainly Thailand, Belarus, Ukraine, Bangladash, Nepal and of course Islamic countries.

Excellent Publication, a Must Have!!!
As all books most have some shortcomings, However Krase publications has improved the collection by adding this NEW CATALOG to the family of Standard Catalog of World Coins, It is getting expensive to have them all, as the guide used to be sold as one.
If you are familiar with Chester L. Krause publications Standard Catalog Of World Coins this volume is easy to use contains a wealth of information and excellent organization seldom found in other books. Well Recommended!!!

It is sad they split up the giant edition but it was inevitable. The combined edition was just too big.

The problem with this one is that it is too expensive for so little. Many dates even countries are missing when I know for a fact that modern coins were made since 2001.
Mintages that have been missing from these books for years still are not in this edition. What a shame.
