| I am completely clueless so please forgive my ignorance. I was given a bill by someone that owed me $10. He later confessed he had thought it was fake when he gave it to me.
The bill is a 1934 $10. It says on the front Federal Reserve Note so I am pressuming that is what it is. The serial number starts with an I and ends with an A. The front is black and the back is very green. There are 9's in each of the front corners either above or below the 10's that decree its value. There is also a J in the upper left and the lower right corner. Nothing special about the back except the color. It is just very, very green.
If anyone has any idea what value this has I would be extremely grateful. I know it's probabley worthless but it would be great if it had some value just to rub my freinds nose in it as he thought he had passed me a fake one.
Thanks

| Based on your description the note is probably genuine.
Average circulated 1934 $10 FRN's from the Minneapolis District sell for $14.-$18. |
