Hello,

I have a 1935 Star Note that I believe is Experimental Issue because it has Series 1935 in the top left corner and bottom right corner vs a standard silver certificate.

It is NOT the 1935-A R or S Experimental Note which is the same as a regular note with the Red R or S identifier of paper type.

Anyone know how rare this is and value in VG/F. I found it in a stack of silver certificates aquired in a collection purchase a few years back, and cant find any info on this note.

I can send scanned pics of this note to anyone needing a pic, but if you know what i am talking about, you probably dont need a pic.

Thanks for your help,

Dave

All 1935 Series $1 Silver Certificates bear the series year in the upper left and lower right corners. 1935A through 1935H bear the series year under the seal. However 1935 Series $1 Silver Certificate Star notes are quite scarce, and catalog at $100. in VF condition. Mules (back check numbers #930 or higher) catalog at $1000. in VF condition. Your note would probably bring about half these prices in VG condition.
